Situated on the manicured grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, our Life Plan Community strives to deliver the spirit of compassion and kindness that is characteristic of our founders, the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. At the St. Francis Center for Assisted Living, residents enjoy private apartment living with the freedom to spend their days as they choose. Leave your worries behind; our experienced professional team members are always nearby.
“I was so impressed by the affection shown by the employees…Dad appreciates every hug, handshake, touch, and smile. Thank you for making Dad feel so comfortable and happy here.”

Carefree Living in an Ideal Setting
Your senior loved one need never worry about being lonely or lacking friends again when they move to the St. Francis Center for Assisted Living. Not only do we offer opportunities for them to socialize and have fun, our caring team members and residents will invite them to join in.
Our support and care of residents are so appreciated that many residents move from independent living at The Esquiline to the St. Francis Center for Assisted Living.
When a new resident is preparing to move into assisted living, a team member will meet with them and their family members to review their physician’s assessment and discuss their needs and desires in detail so we can meet and exceed your expectations.
A Helping Hand
When Assisted Living residents require a little help, our team members are ready. Medication is administered by a licensed nurse around the clock. Our certified healthcare aides provide assistance with daily life activities, as well as any individual requests, from giving a hand massage to getting a snack.
Residents have the choice of dining among friends in the St. Francis private dining room or in our community’s main dining room.
Residents enjoy a full array of educational, spiritual, creative, and entertaining activities designed to enhance their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The Assisted Living Center’s Activities Director supports residents in maintaining an active lifestyle, socializing and sharing talents and experiences, and taking advantage of outstanding amenities.
We offer individualized or small group programming for residents who may benefit from more intimate activities or one-on-one support. This approach can be helpful when someone is feeling overwhelmed, anxious or confused. Our goal is to ensure our residents’ needs are met in a way that empowers and supports their lifestyle and personality.
Superior Care Recognized
Because we are a Life Plan community, we offer rehabilitation services on-site, so residents need never leave their homes. Unlike other assisted living communities, we provide 24/7 care with licensed professional and registered nurses nearby to meet residents’ needs.
For more than a decade, our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities have received deficiency-free reports from the Illinois Department of Public Health. We recently received another deficiency-free report in 2019.
