Certified Nursing Assistant
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the clinical supervision of the Licensed Nurse, functions as a member of the nursing team to provide direct care for residents living in The Esquiline. The CNA will have knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures involved in providing personal care to the residents, as well as in the use of equipment and supplies for resident care. The CNA will understand and practice basic standard precautions, and exposure control regulations to avoid infection of self, residents, and other staff. In conjunction with CNA duties, the nursing assistant will maintain good housekeeping standards within the assigned duty area.
Dining Services Assistant/Server
The Dining Services Assistant/Server may be called upon to perform a variety of services associated with quality food service production as directed by the Dining Service Director or members of the Dining Services management team. Services performed will include, but are not limited to: food preparation and service; sanitation of equipment, furniture, and dining room areas; and dishwashing, as assigned.
Licensed Practical Nurse
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for both direct and indirect nursing care provided to the residents in the Dammert Geriatric Center. The LPN, under the supervision of the RN delivers nursing care to residents by exercising sound judgments based on the LPN’s scope of practice. The LPN maintains a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and nursing ethics, as well as familiarity with organizational function, philosophy, policies, and regulations of the facility and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for both direct and indirect nursing care provided to the residents in the Dammert Geriatric Center. The RN, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, delivers nursing care to residents by exercising sound judgments based on the RN’s scope of practice. The RN maintains a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and nursing ethics, as well as familiarity with organizational function, philosophy, policies, and regulations of the facility and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
